Terms of service
The terms that will govern using heso.
This page lays out the structure of the agreement and states the product facts plainly — including the honest limits of what a receipt proves. The binding legal text is being finalized with counsel; the clauses below are marked placeholders until then.
These terms are not yet binding.
The product facts below are accurate. The legally binding clauses — warranties, liability, termination, governing law — are being finalized with counsel and will replace the placeholders marked in each section. Nothing here is a legal commitment until that text lands.
The agreement
What the finalized terms will cover.
The service
What heso provides: the SDK packages, the cloud that verifies and stores commitments, the console, and the public offline verifier. The open spec and verifier are separately licensed (MIT / Apache-2.0).
Accounts and acceptable use
Account responsibilities, eligibility, and the boundaries of acceptable use.

Plans, billing and overage
Self-serve plans bill through Stripe; the custom plan is contact-sales. Receipt counts are a monthly soft cap with metered overage on paid plans — over-cap never drops your local SDK chain, it only soft-limits the cloud mirror. Full rates are on Pricing.
Your data and content
Ownership of your data and commitments. Raw action content stays in your network; the cloud holds commitments only. See the Privacy page for the data model.
What heso proves — and what it does not
A receipt proves how an action was classified, which gate fired, who co-signed, and that none of it was tampered with. It does not prove a side effect executed downstream, that the agent was correct, or that redacted content is honest. The operator holds the signing key.
Warranties and disclaimers
The warranties offered and the disclaimers that apply.

Limitation of liability
The limits on liability arising from use of the service.
binding copy: to be finalized with counsel
Term and termination
How the agreement starts, continues, and ends — and what happens to your data on termination.

Changes, governing law and contact
How terms change, which law governs, and how to reach us.
